Features:

  • Power supplies used to energize the Triode Sputter Ion Pumps (TSIP) to meet
    wide range of load variations
  • Glow discharge appears between anode and cathode, and Pump draws heavy high
    current from the supply
  • The special designed Constant voltage ferro resonant transformer forms main part
    of the supply.
  • Power supply handles the reducing current caused by decreasing discharge
    intensity
  • It has been designed to withstand certain overload & short circuit condition
    encountered in the vacuum system.
  • Power supply is designed to handle open circuit voltage of 6.2 kV DC and short
    circuit current of 200 mA to 1000 mA depending on pump capacity.
  • power supply deliver a negative 6.2 kV to the cathode assembly of pump and the
    anode assembly is kept at (ground) zero potential.
  • Additional feature provided to enhance the capacity is that if the short circuit
    condition remains after the defined period, the power supply will be turned off.
  • Auto last state Condition at Power On
